Lux Nordic Wealth Management S.A. (”Lux Nordic”) was established in October 2007 in Luxembourg by J.B. Ugland Holding AS and the partners (Jan Petter Thomassen and Espen Madsen) of Lux Nordic Wealth Management S.A.

Our legal framework

Lux Nordic Wealth Management S.A. is regulated under the supervision of Luxembourg’s regulatory authority for the financial sector (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier – CSSF). We hold a license as Asset Manager to the fullest extent permitted by article 24-3 of the law of 5 April 1993 on the Financial Sector.

We are a member of “SIIL”, as required under the law of 18 December 2015.

  • Tom Knudsen

    Mr Tom Knudsen, born 1951, has experience as a lawyer since 1979 within various companies. From January 1980 until end of December 2007 Tom was a partner at the law firm Wikborg Rein. Wikborg Rein is the largest law firm in Norway with offices around the world. Since January 2008 he owns the Law firm Tom Bernhard Knudsen. Tom has a wide range of experience, which among others consists of: contract law, acquisitions and mergers, finance (national and international), transactions and investments for ships, drilling rigs and other offshore units, and negotiations of financing documents. Tom also has a wide experience as a board member in different companies within different sectors.

  • Torstein Moland

    Mr Torstein Moland, born in 1945 has a distinguished career in public office and in the private sector. Mr Moland career started in the Norwegian Ministry of Finance as an Economist and developed into Economic Policy and in 1986 was appointed to the position of State Secretary. From 1990 Mr Moland entered the private sector. Mr Moland served as the Governor and Chairman of Norges Bank (the Norwegian Central Bank) from 1994 to 1995. More recently Mr Moland joined Telenor, a large fixed line and wireless telecommunication operator offering services in 12 countries, as the Chief Financial Officer and has been the Senior Advisor to the President and CEO of Telenor. Telenor is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

  • Jan Petter Thomassen

    Mr Jan Petter Thomassen, Senior Partner/Executive Director/Client Advisor. Prior to founding Lux Nordic Wealth Management S.A., Jan Petter held a position as Executive Director in Banque Invik Asset Management S.A. Jan Petter started his career in the banking sector in 1986 and has been managing institutional and ultra high net worth individuals for Nordea Bank Norway, Nordea Bank Luxembourg and Banque Invik Asset Management S.A. Jan Petter has been in Luxembourg since 2001 and brings along significant experience in client relations and banking solutions. Jan Petter is a member of Lux Nordic’s management committee and investment committee.
